Sign up for Claims Club to hear from London Fire Brigade and others
Fire risk in residential and mixed-use buildings is evolving in ways that are not always fully captured by data, models or regulation.
With this in mind, Post has invited Lynsey Seal, principal fire engineer at the London Fire Brigade, to address the first Post Claims Club meeting of 2026 on the morning or Wednesday 11 March.
She will kick off the morning by bringing a front-line operational perspective from the LFB, grounded in real incidents rather than assumptions.
Seal will explore how modern fires behave in practice, where prevention measures succeed or fail, and why small decisions or behaviours can have disproportionate impacts once a fire occurs.
Elsewhere, attendees will hear from FM Insurance’s Thomas Roche about the changing nature of fire risk, what it means and how insurers can respond; while John Townend from Partners& will discuss the benefits of prevention, early intervention, and coordination across the claims supply chain.
The meeting will also hear from a panel including experts from DAC Beachcroft and Wakam on the future shape of property claims including the impact of consumer duty; how claims teams can remain resilient during surge events; and evidence fairness when using cash settlements or alternative resolutions.
