How to meet the insurance needs of Gen Z

How insurers can grab the attention of Generation Z is the topic of the latest Insurance Post Top Tips video featuring Julian Hucks, founder and managing director of Starpeak.

In his ‘Top Tips’ video, Hucks recommends insurers:

  • Prioritise online self-service.
  • Create a customer-first experience.
  • Establish a social media presence.

When members of Generation Z arrive on an insurer’s website, Hucks said these young people need to feel “it has been built for them”.

He said: “We make sure the information is available as we all know Gen Z has a reputation for not having a very long attention span.

“We try to make sure they can get the information they need very easily and if they don’t need it they can just carry on through the process and save as they go through, so they can come back to it repeatedly and by the end of it felt it was for them.”

Over the coming weeks, Post’s Top Tips videos will feature the industry’s leading lights sharing simple but effective ideas that could take your insurance business and career to the next level.
