Guidewire Software makes senior sales appointment

Stephen Butcher

Provider of core system solutions to general insurers, Guidewire Software, has named Stephen Butcher vice president for the EMEA region.

Mr Butcher will spearhead growth across Guidewire's Insurance Suite of core system solutions. In addition to Claim Center, the Insurance Suite also includes web-based underwriting and policy administration system Policy Center, and Billing Center, a web-based billing and receivables management solution.

Mr Butcher joins Guidewire from Delta Vision. Prior to this, he was managing director of the solutions division at Dealogic, a solutions provider for investment banking and capital markets.

Commenting on his appointment, Mr Butcher said: "I am delighted to be joining Guidewire at an exciting time in its development across the region. The success of ClaimCenter has helped the company establish an excellent reputation for delivering on its promises and providing quality solutions which give insurers measurable benefits and a competitive edge.

"The company is looking to build on this success by increasing the penetration of its other core systems. I am excited to be able to play a lead role in delivering this strategy."
