Converium: renewal market “less favourable than expected”

Swiss reinsurer Converium has issued a renewal statement in which it expresses general satisfaction with the renewals season, but disappointment that conditions did not live up to the most optimistic post-hurricane expectations:

“During the January 2006 renewals Converium wrote and bound an estimated non-life premium volume of around US$ 1.13bn, which represents a decline of less than 3% “Converium

FCA vows to keep pressure on premium finance APRs
