Bric challenges HM Revenue & Customs over VAT
The Body Repair Industry Campaign has challenged the information provided by HM Revenue & Customs to justify its policy on VAT on body repair workshops when owned by tax exempt insurance companies.
Such companies obtain a 5% to 8% cost advantage over other body repairers competing in an open market.
In a statement Bric said: "In an industry where pre tax profits are of the order of 1% to 2%
