Explain your job to a five-year-old.

I work with a team to help customers.

What would you name your autobiography?

Going in the Right Direction.

If you could learn any new skill what would it be?

Sign language – my children and I have signed up for a course.

If you could be a fictional character, which one would it be?

Wonder Woman.

What chore do you hate most?

The washing and ironing you have to do after a holiday.

What did you buy with your first wage packet?

Blue knee-high platform-heel boots. I used to go clubbing, so they were a must-have at the time.

What would you tell your 18-year-old self today?

Have more self-belief – don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone.

What song is guaranteed to make you smile or dance?

Any song from the musical Hairspray. My daughter and I have seen it five times now, and we sing along to it in the car.

What sporting event that you’ve never attended is at the top of your bucket list?

The Monaco Grand Prix or the finals of The Championships, Wimbledon on Centre Court.

If you could go back in time to any point in history, where would you go?

The Swinging Sixties for the music and the dancing.

What is one fact about you that would surprise your colleagues?

In my youth, I used to be an avid ice speed skater.

What one thing couldn’t you live without?

Tea. I need at least two cups in the morning to get me going.

How do you define success?

It’s about making a difference, and about the people around me knowing how valuable they are.

What was the last lie you told?

“I’ll be home by 6pm.”
