Hodges: no 'land grab' for Aviva

Aviva UK plans to build its capability in the commercial property owners and motor sectors after its business insurance book shrunk by £400m in 2009.

The insurer reported net written premiums in its UK general insurance arm of £3.91bn for 2009, down from £5.02bn for 2008, with commercial premiums falling to £1.5bn (2008: £1.9bn) and personal lines
