Equity World Cup competition: The perfect match

ersfinalshootout-10

Spain’s triumph in the World Cup final may not have lived up to expectations — but our competition certainly did.

And so the special World Cup competition in association with Equity Red Star comes to a close. Over the last month, Craig Rathbone of Chris Semmers Insurance Brokers; Michael Ellis of Marsh; Andrew Ailcoon of Windsor Partners; and Susan Myers of E Lloyd Hartland & Co have all been victorious.

And now it is our pleasure to disclose the last two winners of the tickets to see England in a qualifying game for the 2012 European Championships, and the Ipad.

The winner of the England tickets who correctly answered Barcelona, Ajax Amsterdam and Galatasaray is Howard Phillips of Antur Insurance.

As for the Ipad, this was contested by the people who had also correctly answered the previous four weeks' questions and then correctly guessed how many penalties Equity's John Josiah scored against Post editor Jonathan Swift in our own online shootout competition.

The answer was four out of five and if you want proof, watch the extended version of the competition video with each goal, save and miss in its full glory.

As for the overall winner, congratulations to Matt Smith of RA Davies.
