The Chartered Insurance Institute, has awarded ECIS, the employee benefits company for the construction industry the prestigious Chartered Insurance Broker Status.

ECIS now joins its sister company ECIC, the specialist insurer to the construction sector, in achieving Chartered Status, first awarded to ECIC in 2012. Both organisations are owned by the Electrical Contractors Association.

Phil Scarrett, sales and marketing director at ECIS, said: "Gaining Chartered Status is a significant milestone in the history of ECIS. We are a niche player in this market and it's important our customers see that we operate to exacting standards and are happy to be scrutinised in this way. The ‘stamp' of approval from the CII demonstrates very clearly that we have a high level of professionalism, across all our employees and are committed to maintaining those standards."
