Deputy Editor’s View: Applied Systems’ surprise retreat from the UK market earlier this year may not be the end of its ambitions on this side of the Atlantic, reveals Scott McGee, who examines speculation the US-based software giant could be eyeing a bid for an incumbent player.

Back in June sister publication Insurance Age revealed how Applied Systems planned to pull its flagship software product Epic from the shelves in the UK, effectively pulling back from a market it said
