The long awaited reforms to open up India's insurance industry to more foreign capital have yet again been held up.

Despite promises by the new government to pass the Insurance Bill, there is deadlock as the opposition hesitates to pass it, despite the bill having been through the Standing Committee.

FCA looking to address issues on claims definitions

Andrew Ruddle, the Financial Conduct Authority’s interim head of the department for insurance market analysis and policy, has said the regulator is looking at addressing issues about different claims definitions within insurance.
