Legal jobs petition targets Laspo reforms
Raising the small claims limit from £1000 to £5000 will cost 100 000 people their jobs according to a petition launched by solicitors.
The petition, backed by after-the-event insurer Keystone Legal, accuses the government of "pandering to the wishes of the insurance lobby", and risking the closure of claimant and defendant law firms
