As rebrandings go it will hardly go down among the most talked about in the history of financial services, but the end of the Consumer Protection and Markets Authority has at least proved that maybe the government is listening.

So, having seen Norwich Union turn into Aviva and Cornhill to Allianz, we now have the CPMA's metamorphosis after a little over nine months into the Financial Conduct Authority.

FCA looking to address issues on claims definitions

Andrew Ruddle, the Financial Conduct Authority’s interim head of the department for insurance market analysis and policy, has said the regulator is looking at addressing issues about different claims definitions within insurance.
