Car quote index shows rise
Confused and EMB have launched a quarterly car insurance price index that shows the average cost of the cheapest quote rose by 12.7% in 2009.
The index showed that while motor rates stayed flat or decreased in 2007 and 2008, they steadily increased throughout 2009, rising by 6.3% in the fourth quarter alone.
