Insured losses from crashed Air France plane may reach $1bn

The Air France passenger plane that went missing over the Atlantic Ocean may result in $1bn of insured losses, Guy Carpenter has said, quoting the UK reinsurance press.

On Monday Reinsurance revealed that the hull of the aircraft is insured for around $100m, while Guy Carpenter, quoting the UK reinsurance press' "market sources", added liability costs could run
