General Motors settles with Equitas but RSA pursuit continues
Equitas and General Motors Corporation have reached a comprehensive settlement agreement. This agreement settles all claims by GM, including any North American third-party asbestos and pollution-related liabilities, against underwriters at Lloyd’s of London reinsured by Equitas.
No details of the financial package were given, although previous settlements with major manufacturers included Goodyear Tyres ($22m), household fittings manufacturer American Standard Companies ($84Only users who have a paid subscription or are part of a corporate subscription are able to print or copy content.
