Sants discusses FSA retail agenda

In a speech to the Association of Private Client Investment Managers and Stockbrokers conference, Hector Sants, chief executive of the Financial Services Authority, touched on key aspects of the regulator's agenda for the retail market, including: • The benefits to firms - and ultimately consumers - of the FSA's move to more principles based regulation • The importance of the FSA working with the industry to achieve desired results

Mr Sants also discussed the importance of senior management's buy in to embedding Treating Customers Fairly in a firm's culture; the ongoing review of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme
