China's accession to the World Trade Organisation last September, combined with further liberalisation and economic growth, will lead to a healthy reinsurance market in China, claims Jin Jie-Wei, head of reinsurance in the Shanghai office of the state-owned People's Insurance Company of China.

Now that China is a member of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), significant changes are expected in the country's insurance and reinsurance markets.
