Better flood defences have been touted as a cure-all for the UK's flooding woes but an industry-backed kitemark that encourages new homes to be built fully flood resistant might offer an additional solution. Following the catastrophic events of last year the Association of British Insurers has called for a new flood resilience kitemark for housing developments planned in flood plains. The association said
