Cunningham Lindsey is delighted to be associated with Post Magazine's first UK loss adjusting supplement, an extensive review conducted in association with the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters.

It is a highly competitive market and to meet the needs of our clients, we organise the services we deliver into three distinct but interconnected operations. Our loss adjusting services division draws on our loss adjusting expertise and deals primarily with property damage other than subsidence. This encompasses the highly specialised adjusters that operate within our specialist adjusting network and who deal with larger and more complex losses. A national team of 220 adjusters, home-based and using remote working technology, handles domestic and smaller commercial property claims.

Cunningham Lindsey has pioneered a fully integrated approach to managing subsidence claims. Through our project managed services division, we diagnose, design and organise subsidence repairs using in-house, fully qualified engineering experts and a specialist contractor repair network that we have created. The same surveyor-led approach is applied to other types of property damage claims, such as fire or flood.

Our fastest growing division, claims management services, deals with a broader range of claims-handling solutions - offering claims fulfilment, outsourced claims options and desk-based validation as a lower-cost alternative to traditional adjusting. This operation encompasses claims investigation skills, liability services and specialist sector claims solutions.

Through these three divisions we provide a comprehensive, around-the-clock claims management and adjusting service to the insurance market. Policyholders increasingly expect more for their money and we continue to assist our clients by working to improve the claims experience, without increasing costs. This supplement provides an overview of how the main players have responded to this ongoing challenge and we hope you will find it informative and helpful.
