New energy efficiency regulations in the commercial property sector may offer revenue opportunities for insurers as clients become increasingly interested in greener buildings. Sarah Stoddart outlines some of the most salient points of the proposals

On 6 April legislation will commence that requires every commercial property to have an energy performance certificate on construction or before it is sold or leased.
