Indian insurers turn their back on agency model

Since April 2010 the Indian life insurance industry has lost nearly a third of its corporate agents while most of the large life insurers have lost 50% of corporate agents, according to a new report.

According to Policymantra.com this distribution channel is losing out preference among life insurers due to stringent licensing norms and new persistency guidelines.

It added HDFC Life now has only 10
