IAG UK reports full year loss of $355m

Insurance Australia Group today announced its UK business had recorded a loss of $355m for the year ended 30 June 2010 (FY09 $113m), a margin of minus 65.5% (FY09 15.2%).

Overall as a group it recorded an insurance profit of $493m (FY09: $515m) for the year, representing an insurance margin of 7.0% (FY09: 7.1%).

It recorded gross written premium of $7.8bn (FY09: $7.8bn
