The gender pay gap on UK insurance company boards has narrowed dramatically falling from 28% in 2020 to just 3% in 2024, according to EY’s latest Financial Services Boardroom Monitor.

The 25 percentage point reduction marks one of the strongest improvements across global financial services markets, and positions UK insurance as a standout performer on board-level pay equality.
