Ardonagh Global Partners recruits Morna Leather as CFO

Ardonagh Global Partners, the recently launched investment unit of Ardonagh, has appointed ex-RFIB leader Morna Leather as chief financial officer.

Leather, pictured, left RFIB last June having spent five and half years with the broker, latterly as CFO including during the sale to Tysers.

She brings 25 years of experience primarily in financial services and insurance broking to APG having also worked at Aon Benfield and PWC.

APG was launched in April 2021 under the leadership of CEO Des O’Connor to invest in insurance distribution businesses outside of the UK and Europe.

It currently comprises US healthcare and benefits underwriter Accurisk Solutions in a joint venture with the Amynta Group, Australian broker network Resilium and mergers and acquisitions insurance specialist Hemsley Wynne Furlonge.

O’Connor said: “Morna is a commercial and collaborative CFO with considerable international experience.”

Best Insurance Employer 2021

Between 15 March and 15 May Post invited insurance employees, through emails, social media and via the brand’s print and online channels, to nominate and rate their employers on a variety of aspects including their management, diversity, work/life balance and whether they would recommend the employer to a friend. More than 2300 responses were received and more than 50 firms were nominated.
