Aviva to cut 1800 jobs as it splits general insurance and life
Aviva will split its life and general insurance business in the UK, cutting 1800 jobs over the next three years.
The move comes as Aviva seeks to cut costs by £300m per year by 2022.
The UK insurance giant currently employs 30,000 people. It is consulting on specific proposals and has engaged with union Unite
