Obituary: Ken Scowcroft, Swinton founder

Ken Scowcroft, the founder of Swinton Insurance, has died at the age of 89.

Scowcroft started the high street broker from the front room of his Salford home in 1957. His son Brian joined the firm in 1981, and was subsequently appointed joint CEO four years later.
