The China Insurance Regulatory Commission has launched an emergency taskforce after a ship carrying 458 people capsized in the Yangtze river last night (1 June).
A ship called Eastern Star (or Dongfangzhixing) sank last night at the Jianli section of the Yangtze river - the third longest river in the world. An extensive rescue effort is taking place overseen
