Securing and retaining talent has always been important for the insurance sector but recent high-profile litigation in the broking arena suggests this is becoming more of a fight than ever.

Ongoing litigation with several firms over inter-company moves has been predicted to be the tip of the iceberg, with market commentators saying the quest for capital is now a quest for talent.

McGill sold to EQT for £2bn
