Now in its fifth year, this study, which for the first time has more than 50 entrants, although not a complete study of the industry, indicates the face that the insurance industry’s spending on loss adjusters dropped in 2009 as it spent up to £718.5m among those featured there (2008: £777.3m). While consumers and commercial entities continued to increase spending on their own representation in the form of loss assessors up to £23.5m (2008: £22.1m) among those included.

GAB Robins is one of the biggest success stories for 2009, moving up a bracket to £50 to £99.9m, while Davies Group returned to its pre-management buyout bracket of £30m to £49.9m, swapping places
