Allianz sees Eastern European GI profits fall 54% in H1

Allianz in Central and Eastern Europe today reported total premiums increased by 5 percent to €2bn, from €1.9bn in the first half of 2009.

When adjusted for currency effects, premiums dropped by 1 percent.

However, it added its operating profit in the first half year fell 37% to €100m, and on an adjusted basis by 39 percent.

Allianz said
