Fitch: Swiss insurers prepared for change

Fitch Ratings has said today that it assigns a stable outlook for the Swiss life and non-life insurance sectors as insurers remain on the path of underwriting discipline in the face of more challenging market conditions.

In its first special report on the Swiss insurance market the agency comments that insurers' efforts to restructure their businesses after large losses in 2001 and 2002 are beginning to bear fruit.
