Biba launches 'real' non-standard property household insurance
The British Insurance Brokers’ Association (Biba) has launched a non-standard property household insurance scheme, designed to help its members place high risk properties that have suffered from flood and subsidence or whose occupants have criminal convictions, which it says are three of the hardest non-standard property insurances to place. Biba said the scheme, underwritten by Bureau Insurance Services, was launched following feedback from Biba’s members that there is an increasing need to place risks that do not fit the standard requirements for household insurance.
