Better flood defences have been touted as a cure-all for the UK's flooding woes but an industry-backed kitemark that encourages new homes to be built fully flood resistant might offer an additional solution. Or could this just be a tactic to dampen fears over irresponsible building on flood plains? Stephanie Denton reports
Following the catastrophic events of last year the Association of British Insurers has called for a new flood resilience kitemark for housing developments planned in flood plains. The association said
