Norwich Union NWP falls 3%

Aviva this morning reported its UK general insurance business reported a total operating profit of £433m (2006: £1.1bn) including a contribution of £53m (2006: £37m) from its captive reinsurance operations and health business.

RBSI reports 9% slump in operating profit

Royal Bank of Scotland Insurance this morning reported a 9% decline in operating profit to £683m on stable income of £5.6bn. The insurance group was impacted to the tune of £274m by the floods.
