Flooding to become ‘more persistent’, with 3m urban homes at risk

The chair of Flood Re has warned widespread flooding will become “more persistent” in the UK with over three million homes in urban areas at risk of flash flooding.

Mark Hoban, former City Minister and chair of Flood Re, was speaking at the scheme’s Transition Plan launch on 13 July, where he also announced that he will be stepping down from his role after nine
