UK is a few years away from direct cyber market: CIBA 2018

The cyber insurance market is evolving into a more digitally enabled one, which might help it open up to smaller customers where penetration is typically lower.

That was a view offered by a number of presenters at the Post Cyber Insurer and Broker Assembly conference in London last week.

Munich Re head of cyber innovation Daljitt Barn told the delegates that

Lloyd’s profits fall to £3.5bn

Lloyd’s profit before tax fell from £4.2bn in the first half of 2025 to £3.5bn in the first six months of 2026, as lower investment returns offset a "strong" underwriting performance.
