SRA reports ARP applications slightly down on solicitors' PI renewal day

Some 409 firms applied to enter the assigned risks pool on 1 October, the deadline for professional indemnity insurance renewal, according to figures released by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.

The Law Society Gazette reports the SRA said this is is similar to number of deadline day applications as on 1 October last year, 411.

An SRA spokeswoman told the LSG the figure might change as firms
