The Supreme Court ruling in Pimlico Plumbers, granting employment rights to a gig worker, might lead to an increase or a shift in liability claims. But it also opens up a door for new products as gig economy platforms will want to cover their new exposures

The Supreme Court has ruled that Gary Smith, a man who had worked for Pimlico Plumbers over the course of five years, was entitled to employment rights such as holiday and sick pay, despite being VAT
