The devastating floods in Chennai, the capital of India's province Tamil Nadu, will cost insurers at least $300m (£198m) in claims as the rains continue.

After the heaviest rains in more than 100 years, thousands of homes and streets have been flooded, airplanes and trains have been stranded and over 260 people have lost their lives, with over 1000
