Deafness claims volume putting ‘strain’ on operational staff

Claims staff at many insurers are facing increased ‘operation strain’ as they struggle to deal with the high volume of noise-induced hearing loss notifications.

Deafness notifications have spiked in 2015 after a short-lived drop during 2014, figures released by the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries' UK Deafness Working Party this week showed.
