Insurance ombudsman complaints at highest level since 2000
The number of insurance complaints, excluding payment protection cover, has reached its highest level since the launch of the financial ombudsman in 2000 according to figures published today.
There were a total of 33 172 insurance complaints, 7% of the total seen by the ombudsman, according its report for the 2012/13 financial year.
Over half of complaints related to claims, while sales
