Industry begins counting cost of New Zealand quake

The insurance industry has begun estimating its exposure to the 6.3 magnitude earthquake that shook Christchurch, New Zealand.

More than 150 deaths have been recorded as a result of the event — the second major quake to strike Christchurch since September 2010.

Last week, QBE and IAG estimated their exposure to the incident
