British Insurance Awards Countdown: Five Taskmaster contestants have hosted the British Insurance Awards, but who were they?

BIA Entertainment 2

There are now just five days to go to get your British Awards entries in [closing date: 11 March].

Did you know that five British Insurance Awards hosts have appeared on the Channel Four show Taskmaster?

Indeed, the BIAs can lay claim to featuring the first three winners on the show with Josh Widdicombe [series one, BIAs 2020], Katherine Ryan [series two, BIAs 2018] and Rob Beckett [series three, BIAs 2017 and 2021, pictured].

Al Murray and Paul Chowdhry, who both featured in series three, have also hosted the BIAs.

In total, only one contestant on Strictly Come Dancing has also hosted the BIAs, and that is 2020 winner Bill Bailey who appeared at the insurance awards in 2014. Another contestant, Mica Paris, sang at the ceremony in 2010, though.

To date, two people can claim the double whammy of appearing on both The Masked Singer and performing at the BIAs: Will Young, who was Lionfish, and Katherine Jenkins, who was Octopus. The Masked Singer host Joel Dommett and judge Jonathan Ross have presented at the BIAs in 2017 and 2011, respectively.
