Enterprise Act to come into force on 4 May 2017
The Enterprise Act was granted Royal Assent yesterday (4 May), with policyholders able to claim damages for the late payment of insurance claims in 12 months' time.
The one year transition period before the legislation comes into force will allow insurers and brokers to prepare for the changes.
