FCA head McDermott out of running for top job
The Financial Conduct Authority has confirmed Tracey McDermott had ruled herself out of the top job at the regulator, following comments by Chancellor George Osborne today (7 January).
Osborne told BBC Radio 4 of McDermott's decision.
"There's a very effective interim leader in Tracey McDermott who has been doing a good job. She doesn't want the job full time," he said.
