Risk professionals have been warned that the culture within an organisation is more important to business success than a strategic focus.

According to René Carayol MBE, the keynote speaker at the Institute of Risk Management Forum in Ashford yesterday, cultural issues were to blame for problems at BP, the BBC and The News of the World
