Verbal CMC contracts outlawed amid industry-wide clampdown by regulator
The Claims Management Regulator has unveiled new rules which will prevent claims management companies from making verbal contract arrangements with consumers.
In response to consumer concerns that bad practice by some firms continues to plague the industry, CMCs must now ensure that written contracts are signed before any fee can be taken.
The new rules
