Axa leads the way for insurers in top 100 best global brands list

Axa has been named the highest ranking insurer in the 2012 Interbrand top 100 Best Global Brands list, after increasing its brand value by 1% to $6.75bn (£4.18bn).

The French firm is ranked 58th on a list headed by Coca-Cola (with a brand value of $77.84bn), but slipped five places from its 2011 ranking of 53rd.

The only other insurance company to make this year
