By December 2013, every single UK broker and insurer will exceed a minimum threshold in terms of the number of their staff qualified to advanced diploma level. That is the vision of the Insurance Profession Task Force that has today unveiled the Aldermanbury Declaration — calling on colleagues to commit to a common framework for raising professional standards in the general insurance sector.

Simultaneously, the Chartered Insurance Institute has launched corporate chartered status for insurance firms — to mirror the scheme set up for brokers in 2007 — with applications open immediately.
